Setting Up Your Files In Adobe Photoshop CMYK:
Make sure you setup your document using CMYK color and 300dpi resolution. All
scans must also be converted to CMYK and be a minimum of 300 dpi.
Do
not setup files in RGB color.
Setting Up Your Files In Adobe Illustrator:
We accept versions older than 5.0. Save all placed (embedded) images as 300
DPI CMYK TIFF files (no LZW). If the files are linked and not embedded you
need to send the linked files along with your Adobe Illustrator files.
Setting Up Your Files In Other Applications:
The aplication you are using must be able to export files in the following
formats:
1. As a postscript file. (EPS or PDF)
2. As a vector image. (EPS or AI)
3. As a 300 DPI image. (TIFF or JPEG)
Fonts:
All type (fonts) MUST be converted to outlines (paths).
Colors:
There are some small differences between
screen colors and printed colors. Scanners and digital cameras create images
using combinations of just three colors: Red, Green and Blue (called "RGB").
These are the colors that computers use to display images on your screen. But
printing presses print full color pictures using a different set of colors:
Cyan (blue), Magenta (red), Yellow and Black (called "CMYK"). So at some
stage your RGB file must be translated to CMYK in order to print it on a
printing press. This is easily done using an image editing program. Caution:
It's Best If You do the RGB-to-CMYK Conversion of Your Images. SoBeGraphics
will perform a complimentary color conversion but you will have more control
over the appearance of your printed piece if you convert all of the images
from RGB to CMYK before sending them to us. When we receive RGB images, we
do a standard-value conversion to CMYK, which may not be perfectly to your
liking. We want you to be happy, so please, take the time to prepare your
file properly. We cannot be responsible for sub-par results if you furnish
low-res images or RGB images.

or Corel Draw.
LAYING OUT YOUR DOCUMENT
The outer edge of the artwork is considered a “safety area” that is utilized for cutting. No important images or text should be placed within this area. We strongly recommend you use a 1/4 inch (.25). Here is an example of the correct way to submit your files:

KEEP YOUR TYPE IN!
This is an example of how the same file can be submitted incorrectly. If you notice, the file was designed with all of the type and important graphics right up to the edge of the canvas. This results in the cutting of logos, fonts, and important graphics. This is an example of how NOT to submit your files:

REMEMBER!!!
Any flyer or postcard you purchase from SoBeGraphics.com
needs to be cut out of a bigger sheet before we ship it to you. This means
that a 1/4 Page flyer (4.25 x 5.5) will have to be trimmed down when cut.
The end result will be a product which is roughly 4.125 x 5.375. This is
true of all of our sizes except Business Cards cards which actually trim
true to size at 3.5 x 2. If you are not clear on our cutting process please
call a Customer Service represenative at 1.866.ASK.SOBE for further explanation.
